Lori Hawkins - CEO
With over three decades of accounting experience, Lori Hawkins has established a reputation as the go-to financial partner for small business owners seeking more than just data entry.
Lori founded L&L Bookkeeping in 2018 with one clear mission: to act as the accounting arm of every client’s business—helping owners make more intelligent decisions with cleaner books and clearer insights.
Lori’s career began long before L&L, managing finances, streamlining systems, and uncovering fraud in multiple companies. She’s led the charge in rebuilding accounting departments from the ground up—finding embezzlement, hiring and training new staff, and putting safeguards in place to ensure long-term stability. That same thoroughness and care are now woven into every client engagement at L&L.
As a small business owner herself many times over, Lori knows how valuable timely and accurate financials are to staying afloat and scaling up. That’s why she and her team prioritize proactive communication, efficient systems, and reliable reporting—helping clients stay ready for tax season, audits, and growth opportunities. She’s a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor (both Online and Desktop) and takes pride in "cleaning up the chaos" that others avoid.

Amber Thompson - Accounting Operations Manager
With over 20 years of experience in the accounting field, Amber has built a well-rounded and extensive career, including a decade spent in public accounting. She has experience in tax, payroll and payroll taxes, financial statements, and audit, with particular expertise in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Amber has a deep passion for accurate financial reporting and a genuine love for working with numbers, ensuring the highest standards of precision and integrity in all financial processes.
As an Accounting Operations Manager, she brings her wealth of experience and dedication to driving operational efficiency and delivering insightful financial guidance.
Cindy Weller - Office Manager
Cindy came to L&L Bookkeeping with over twenty years of bookkeeping and payroll. She has worked for larger companies (100 employees or more), served as a multi-jurisdictional payroll specialist, performing all aspects of payroll (in-house to outsourced), and certified (prevailing wage) payroll.
Her past experiences are with construction, architectural, and engineering industries, as well as R&D tax credits.
Cindy says she loves a challenge and learning new things, and with the variety of clients that L&L has, she comes to “play” every day at work!
Heather Schrier - Bookkeeper
When Heather moved from a technician to an accounting team member at a long-term care pharmacy, she discovered a love of bookkeeping that led her to multiple opportunities in various industries. Heather has experience in accounts receivables and payables, working closely with customers and vendors, including those located internationally.
She has worked with insurance, manufacturing, retail, and wholesale companies.
Heather’s love of organizing and cleaning up bookkeeping messes makes her an ideal fit for L&L Bookkeeping!
Renee Veach - Bookkeeper
Renee is a seasoned accounting professional with over a decade of experience specializing in financial management, cash management, and analysis. Her career began with a strong focus on general ledger accounting, where she developed experience and expertise in reporting, budget management, payroll, and compliance. Renee’s proficiency extends to cash management, where she has effectively overseen cash flow operations. Her ability to streamline accounting processes and enhance cash management systems has not only ensured accuracy but also significantly contributed to cost savings and financial stability for the organizations she has worked with.
Renee’s experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) has enabled her to streamline organizational processes and enhance overall team performance. As a certified notary public, Renee has added an extra layer of versatility to her skill set, handling critical documentation and legal processes with precision.
Renee’s past experience includes accounting in manufacturing, signage, government contracting, and dental industries.
Outside of her professional life, Renee is a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. She also enjoys traveling and reading.
